Monster Movie Poster Monday

Ok. Actually...no poster today. I just got back from LA at about 8am, I'm tired and annoyed with...well...everything. But, I had a ton of fun in LA and even got to see the coolest star on the walk of fame. I was pretty excited about it. I mean, who would have thought that Godzilla had a star!

I don't mean to be a downer (glad you had fun, really), but I hate the Walk of Fame, since it, you know, doesn't track "fame" in the slightest. Maybe I'm an idealist, but when people can more or less buy their way onto it, doesn't it lose all meaning?

I think your seeing Godzilla there just about makes my point for me, though. Though the real anger will set in when Jar-Jar Binks has a star...

I would tend to agree, actually. It is kind of neat though to see the older stars. To see and think about the history of Hollywood. The great names from the past. That's the cool part of it. Seeing the star for Tony Danza isn't all that interesting, seeing the one for Myrna Loy is. Seeing Steven Seagal's footprints in front of the Chinese Theatre, lame. Seeing Humphrey Bogart's, kind of cool. It's the history aspect to it all that I find interesting. That Godzilla had a star, well, considering I spend a lot of time watching monster movies and talking about them here, it just makes for a fun picture.
